Well, this is actually shop dog, Nixxy.
Born and raised in a small town in Ohio, Dan has been enjoying life in Florida for over 20 years. Dan is a certified boat captain and master scuba diver. He also enjoys spearfishing. Besides his love for the ocean, Dan’s biggest love is his supportive wife.
As for Nixxy, she is a spunky wire hair pointing griffon. Her name is inspired by Stevie Nicks as a tribute to Dan’s late daughter, who was a fan of the artist. Although she doesn’t perform music, Nixxy enjoys spending time in the shop with Dan and taking naps after a long hard day.

Daniel A2Z started as an accident with woodworking beginning as a hobby. In 2020, Dan unexpectedly lost his beautiful daughter at the young age of 25. It was then that woodworking became therapeutic in wake of devastating emotions. With his passion growing and support from his wife, Dan decided after 30 years in the paper and packaging business, he was ready to redirect his life.
